The Institute for Healthcare Advancement - When the IHA began publishing its series of low literacyhealth care books, Haese & Wood launched a multimedia effort to reach target audiences regarding this self-published series of books. Central City Association
The Central City Association, a nonprofit organization representing 215 downtown businesses, asked Haese to assist in conducting a public affairs campaign to change the booking policy of the Los Angeles Convention Center. CCA wanted to create a program to make the public aware that one of the keys to the revitalization of Los Angeles was a profitable Convention Center. Only six weeks after implementation of the campaign strategy, 21 media meetings and sessions in support of CCA's position on the Convention Center were secured. Afterward, KABC-TV broadcast an editorial in support of CCA's position. An editorial favoring CCA's view was published in the Los Angeles Times A direct mail distribution of 5,000 "Stop the Loss to L.A.'s Economy" brochures resulted in a 40 percent response rate. In the end, the Mayor's Blue Ribbon Task Force on the Convention Center recommended LACC change its policy and give booking priority to convention business over local consumer shows. |
